UK puts tax information exchange with Russia, Belarus on ice
LONDON, Mar 17 (PRIME) -- The U.K. suspends cooperation with Russia and Belarus on tax information exchange, Financial Secretary to the Treasury Lucy Frazer said on Thursday.
The U.K. used to exchange tax information under agreements on double taxation avoidance. Suspension would mean that Russia will no longer get information on request, information under the united standard for tax information exchange and interstate reports.
The official said that U.K.’s cooperation with Russia and Belarus that will bring them economic benefits was inappropriate.
